Terms of Use

The rules for using Wrapp, in plain English. By creating an account or using Wrapp, you agree to them.

Last updated 4 November 2026

1. Who we are

Wrapp by FinZ ("Wrapp", "we", "us") is operated by FinZ Africa Limited, a company registered in Nigeria. Wrapp is a place to celebrate life's milestones: people create celebration pages, friends and family send wishes, voice notes and gifts, and brands run milestone pages.

Wrapp is a social and gifting product. We are not a bank. Wrapp and FinZ are both products of FinZ Africa Limited. Money on Wrapp is kept with CBN-licensed partner banks and moved by licensed payment partners, as explained in the Gifts and payments terms.

These Terms, the Privacy Policy, the Cookie Policy, the Community Guidelines and the Gifts and Payments terms together make up your agreement with us.

2. Who can use Wrapp

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18 (or the age of majority where you live), you may use Wrapp only with a parent or guardian's permission, and you cannot receive money or verify an identity until you are 18.

You must give accurate information, keep your login details safe, and tell us if you think someone else is using your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account.

You cannot use Wrapp if we have previously closed your account for breaking these Terms, or if the law prohibits you from using it.

3. Your account and profile

You sign in with a phone number or email address, confirmed with a one-time code. Your username (@name) is yours to use but not to sell or transfer. You can change it once every 30 days, and the old one is kept for you for that time. We may reclaim usernames that impersonate a person or brand, break the law, or are inactive for a long time.

Your date of birth powers features such as your automatic birthday page and age rules. You can correct it once in the first 48 hours; after that it can only change through support, and it is locked once your identity is verified with FinZ.

Your country is where you live and you can change it at any time. Your nationality, which decides whether you can open a Naira account, comes from your verified ID.

Usernames that belong to well-known brands or public figures are held back. A brand or public figure can claim its name through verification.

4. What you post

You own what you post (wishes, voice notes, photos, celebration pages). By posting, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, reproduce and distribute it for the purpose of running Wrapp: showing it to the people you chose, sending it to the celebrant, creating posters and previews, and keeping backups.

You promise that you have the right to post it, that it does not break anyone's rights or the law, and that it follows our Community Guidelines.

If you send a wish to someone, the celebrant can see it, approve or hide it, and may display it on their page. A wish may be shown with your name unless you chose to post anonymously. We still know who you are and may share that with the authorities where the law requires.

Wishes and voice notes may be checked by automated tools and by people to catch abuse. We may hide or remove anything that breaks the rules.

5. Celebration pages

Everyone with an account gets a birthday page, created automatically. You can create pages for other milestones such as weddings, graduations, baby showers and housewarmings. Birthdays for children are not supported.

You decide who can see a page: everyone, people you follow back, anyone with the link, or only people with an access code. Your birthday page follows your birthday privacy setting.

Gifts and spraying are optional features on a page. They are available only to people who have verified their identity with FinZ and are described in the Gifts and Payments terms.

You are responsible for the page you create, including any promise you make on it. Wrapp is not a party to arrangements between you and your guests.

6. Acceptable use

Follow the Community Guidelines. In particular, you must not:

  • break the law, or use Wrapp to collect money for fraud, scams, pyramid or Ponzi schemes, or anything illegal;
  • harass, threaten, bully or shame anyone, or post hateful, sexual, violent or otherwise harmful content;
  • post other people's bank account numbers, personal data or private information in wishes or on pages;
  • pretend to be someone else, or mislead people about who you are or what a page is for;
  • use Wrapp to launder money, evade sanctions, or move money you did not earn lawfully;
  • create fake accounts or fake reservations, farm rewards or gift cards, or manipulate leaderboards;
  • interfere with Wrapp, probe it for weaknesses without permission, or scrape or copy it at scale;
  • upload anything that contains a virus or harms our systems or other users.

7. Money

Sending, receiving and holding money is covered by the Gifts and Payments terms. In short: guests can pay by card or bank transfer without an account; celebrants must verify their identity with FinZ to receive money; fees are shown before you pay; and gifts are generally final once sent.

For your protection, cash cannot leave your account for 24 hours after you change your phone number or email, or link, unlink or change the PIN of your FinZ account. Gifts keep arriving while this pause runs, and we tell you when it ends.

You are responsible for any tax that applies to money you receive.

8. Reserving a username before launch

Before launch, you can reserve a username by giving your name, email and optionally your WhatsApp number. A reservation is free, holds the name for you, and gives you no other right. We may release or refuse a reservation that breaks our rules, belongs to a brand or public figure, or looks like abuse.

A website reservation is held for 30 minutes until you confirm it from the email link we send. We will use the contact details you give to tell you when Wrapp opens.

9. Messages and notifications

We send you messages about your account and activity: in the app, by push notification and by email. Sign-in codes are sent by WhatsApp, SMS (Nigerian numbers only) or email. You can change most notification choices in Settings.

We do not use WhatsApp or SMS for marketing. Anything we send because you reserved a username or joined a waitlist is about Wrapp's launch.

10. Our content and brand

Wrapp, the Wrapp ribbon logo, the design of the service and our software belong to FinZ Africa Limited or our licensors. You may use Wrapp as intended, but may not copy it, resell it, reverse-engineer it, or use our name or logo in a way that suggests we endorse you, without written permission.

11. Other companies' services

Wrapp works with partners such as FinZ and its banking partners, payment processors, identity verification providers and gift card providers. Their services have their own terms. Wrapp links to other websites (for example, a creator's website) that we do not control and are not responsible for.

12. Changes, availability and ending things

We may improve, change or stop parts of Wrapp. We will try to give notice of big changes. Some features are available only in certain countries and may change as new partners come on board.

We try to keep Wrapp available but cannot promise it will always work or be error-free. We may suspend it for maintenance or security.

You can close your account at any time from Settings or by contacting us. Your money balance must be zero first, so withdraw or transfer anything in your Wrapp account or FinZ wallet before you close it. Closing switches your account off and hides your profile and pages at once. For 60 days you can change your mind and restore it by signing in again; after that your personal details are removed or anonymised, except records we must keep by law (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or close an account, or remove content, if you break these Terms, put others at risk, or we are required to by law. If we do, we will tell you why where we can, unless the law or safety prevents it.

When an account closes, your pages stop being shown. Money sent to a closed Wrapp account number goes to your FinZ wallet while your FinZ account is open, or is returned to the sender if it is closed too. When you open a Wrapp account you are asked to read and confirm what closing it means.

13. What we do and do not promise

Wrapp is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we do not promise that Wrapp will meet every need, be uninterrupted or be free of errors, and we are not responsible for what other users post or do.

Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have by law that cannot be limited, or our liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

14. Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, FinZ Africa Limited is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss of opportunity arising from your use of Wrapp. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

You agree to compensate us for loss we suffer because you broke these Terms or the law, or because of content you posted, except to the extent we caused it.

15. Complaints and disputes

If something goes wrong, contact us first. We will try to resolve it quickly and fairly.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. If we cannot resolve a dispute informally, it will be referred to the courts of Nigeria, except where the law of your country gives you the right to bring a claim where you live.

Complaints about how we handle personal data can also be made to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. If a change is important, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. If you keep using Wrapp after a change takes effect, you accept it. If you do not agree, you can close your account.
